Creative Halloween Costume Ideas for Couples
I can think of 100′s of popular costume ideas for couples and still the number one on the list for 2011 year will be Super Hero Duo’s along with a new twist on the Victorian Vampire!
So be creative and put outfits together that are unusual and fun. Here are just a few couples costume ideas to get those creative juices flowing.
Captain America and Wonder Woman
Captain America has been an American icon since the comic first released in 1941. Steven Rogers was a scrawny young man who attempted to join the army multiple times in 1940, but he failed to meet the physical requirements at every attempt.
He was eventually asked by Dr. Erskine to participate in project Rebirth which Rogers agreed to and the super solider was created.
What better side kick than the Princess of the Amazons “Wonder Woman” also created during World War II who’s initial job was fighting the Axis military forces, as well as a laundry list of super villains. You gotta love those red boots and in my opinion definitely a lot hotter that Captain America!
I Got You Babe – Sony and Cher a Real Pop Duo
There was a terrible war raging in Vietnam in the 60s (sixties) and the “Woodstock Generation” a new group of people who believed in alternatives to the American way of life became an underground culture.
Sony and Cher where at the top of the charts in 1965 with two hit songs “Baby Don’t Go” and “I Got You Babe”; eventually getting their own TV show in the 70′s.
During their era there where a world of hippies, free love, psychedelics, Rock ‘n’ Roll and Pop music.
The sixties was also a time of questioning established ideas, institutions and looking for happiness and truth in life. Men let their hair and beards grow, wore frilly shirts and earrings and dressed generally in colorful clothes.
Hippies in the sixties where basically just the opposite of the yuppies of the eighties; they dropped out, turned on, and tuned in to music. “Peace Out Man” on Halloween night as Sony and Cher.
This is the most creative funny couples costume yet! The Yip Yips.
This one you can make with a few Styrofoam balls and party wire from the local hobby store.
Use some old curtains or blankets from around the house or from the second hand store for the robes. Any color for the robes will do other than white; which case you will look like a ghost or goblin.
Also you could add a man and women wig to each costume and make it truly unique. Yip it up!
Adult Flapper Costume for Couples
The Flapper Couples costume is one of the most popular outfits every Halloween.
In the Jazz Age of the 1920s, a new woman had evolved. She smoked, drank, danced, and was allowed to vote. Hugh Hefner Costume and the Playboy Bunny is another great costume idea for couples. What guy doesn’t want to live out this fantasy on Halloween night?
For the Hugh Hefner costume all you need is a pair of pajamas, smoking jacket, pipe, a smirk on your face and a beautiful girl on your harm. Your girl can dress in any hot sexy dress or a tuxedo bunny costume that will have them all dreaming of her.

While the Flintstones lived in a world with machines powered by birds and dinosaurs, the Jetsons lived in a idealistic space age time in the year 2062. Their world revolved around elaborate robotic contraptions, aliens, holograms, and whimsical inventions.
George Jetson was a loving family man who always screwing up. He worked full-time, at Spacely’s Sprockets as a computer engineer.
His wife Jane Jetson is the mother of their two children, and homemaker. Jane is obsessed with fashion and new gadgetry and her favorite store is Mooning Dales. She is also a dutiful wife who always tries to make life as pleasant as possible for her family. Some of this sounds familiar!
Regardless of the costume you choose its a lot of fun being a couple on Halloween.

Popeye and Olive Oyl were some of my favorites. And the fact that Brutus (or was it Bluto?) always in the background bothering Popeye. Thank goodness for spinach… I think Olive Oyl’s pretty neat. Oh yeah, and there’s Wimpy… He’s cool…

I love going to parties at Halloween and seeing couples dressed up in coordinating costumes, it looks really great! Of all the ones you have listed here, I like the Popeye and Olive Oyl ones best! The only way to top that would be if the guy dressed up as Olive Oyl and the girl dressed up as Popeye!!! Could be quite original!

I think couples costumes are the best for halloween. You see Hugh Hefner fairly often, but I really like the Jane and George Jetson idea! That’s pretty funny. I think the king and queen of hearts is neat as well.

My wife and I were a Pregnant Nun and a Priest with thick gold chains last year. This year we are dressing up a flapper and zoot suit gangster similar to what you have above. If we had not already bought ours I would definitely get your Adult Flapper and Zoot Suit Costume Set. It looks like it’s really high quality.

Just happen to find this site and wish I would have found it earlier. The wife and I were vampires but the costumes that we had were nothing like the Victorian Vampire Adults Costume for Couples that is found on this page. Wow, how cool these two costumes look. It took a lot of effort just to find vampire costumes that were only 20% as good as the ones above. I will be sure to keep this website saved to my favorites for next year.
One feature of these costumes that I love are the Victorian Theme. They are so elegantly display. Great choice to carry this theme in vampire attire.

I think the Obamas would be a little bit offended to see these, they don’t exactly flatter the couple! But I love the vampire ones and the little Red Riding Hood one, those look very sexy and that’s what I always aim for at fancy dress parties!

James Cameron has one of the best movies for 2010. Why not be a part of it and dress up like two of the main characters? As well as the costume you can also buy the blue war paint and various weapons to go with the outfit. The Jake Sully costume comes complete with jacket, pants, and mask, while the Neytiri outfit has a jumpsuit, apron and gauntlet. You will be all set this Halloween when you dress as these two characters, it will be a unique choice that will make your friends envious.

I’d probably not be wearing anything on this list except the vampire ones.
The obama costumes are actually the ones I disliked the most(The smile is a tad bit scary for me).
You should try adding to your list(or to a newer list) anime concepts, (you know the cartoons from japan).

This is very wonderful! For me, I like Captain America and Wonder woman. They make a great couple. They look stunning and amazing. If i will attend to a costume party i will tell my partner to wear a captain america costume and I’ll be Wonder woman. hehehe.
