Darth Vader and Jango Fett Two Iconic Star Wars Fighters

Darth Vader Kids Costume Idea PictureOne of the most iconic cinematic villains of all time is the menacing Darth Vader. Although now we know all about his sordid past, when he first appeared on screen, people were intrigued. What were his motives? Was he even human at all? We didn’t even have to see Princess Leia undergo Darth Vader’s mind probe on-screen to know that he was a ruthless and menacing figure—yet why were we so happy when his TIE Fighter spun safely away after the first Death Star explosion?

Now your Vader can recreate his (or her!) favorite Darth Vader moments, complete with epic light saber battles, pretend Force strangulation, and menacing pointing. Don’t forget to practice your rhythmatic breathing!

Darth Vader can look for Rebel Scum door to door this Halloween. And if he can’t find any, he can ask for candy with his most menacing bellow of “Trick of Treat!”

The blue-and-silver bounty hunter known as Jango Fett first appeared in Star War: Attack of the Clones like a sleeker, sharper recolored version of fan favorite Boba Fett. The more we saw of the “father,” the better we understood where the “son” got so much of his calm and cool attitude and suddenly we had another favorite Star Wars bounty hunter!

Star Wars Jango Fett Kids Costume PictureJango Fett was a bounty hunter who served as the DNA donor for the million-strong army of clone troopers. His “son,” the young boy who would eventually grow up to be Boba Fett, was actually an unmodified clone of Jango himself. But Jango never treated Boba like anything but his own child, a child he trained in all of his bounty hunter ways!

Jango had a jet pack with which he floated like the Rocketeer and he shot two laser guns with the finesse of the most dexterous cowboy. He took on one of the most skillful Jedi knights of all time, Obi-Wan Kenobi, in the middle of a raging thunderstorm that never ends—and he escaped without so much as a scratch.

Jango wasn’t so lucky when he jumped into an arena full of Jedi and he met his match in Mace Windu, but the iconic moment when young Boba lifted his father’s helmet, seeming to make some vow that would lead him down his shadowy path in life, stuck with us long after Jango was gone.

This Jango Fett costume can turn any boy (or girl) into a slick bounty hunter with style. Tell your child there’s a bounty out on candy. Just travel from door to door and say the code words “Trick or Treat!”

The Darth Vader costume is really scary. I would prefer the Jango Fett or the Star Wars Stormtrooper imperial costumes for most kids. I agree, halloween is supposed to show how scary you can be, but you gotta look cool at the same time.
